Eden Rock supports elite climbers through providing a youth team, sponsoring climbers and supporting the British Climbing Teams.

The Eden Rock Youth Team
The idea behind our youth team is to identify talented individuals and offer them a chance to maximise their potential through coaching with other similar children.
​
We have a wide age range in line with the BMC's Youth Climbing Series which splits children from 8yrs to 14yrs. The team is coached once a fortnight by two of our expert coaches, Davina and Pete. We also introduce outdoor climbing to the team as well, which is a new experience for most of them!

Sponsored Climbers
Part of our ethos at Eden Rock is to further the sport of climbing and support it as much as possible. We do this in a variety of different ways, from programmes to get young people into bouldering to various coaching and training for adults. One way we also try to help is to sponsor local climbers with an exceptional talent and attitude towards the sport. This sponsorship varies from providing subsidised entry to the wall to supporting our climbers with kit and travel. Read a bit about them below.
LILY KINNERSLEY
My name is Lily and I have been climbing since I was six years old. I enjoy climbing at Eden Rock, especially the white and blue circuits. I love to enter climbing competitions, especially the BMC Youth climbing series, where I podiumed in 2016 and 2017. It’s great making new friends at each climbing venue I visit up and down the country. In 2018 my goal is to train hard and make the GB youth development squad
KAI MAIN
I have been climbing since i was 5 years old, my first climb was outdoors at Armathwaite with my dad. I like all aspects of climbing but my favourite type is bouldering. Some of my favourite places to climb are: Font, Northern Thailand (Chiangmai) and Malham Cove. I am working towards getting onto team GB this year and I love going to climbing competitions indoors nationally and internationally and my favourite roped climbing comp is the youth colour climbing festival in Imst (Austria), my favourite bouldering comp is the Battle of Britain in Manchester (UK).
Some other sports that I do are football, snowboarding/skiing, hill walking and mountain biking.
GB Climbing Teams
As part of our commitment to further the sport of bouldering, we are proud to encourage the GB teams to come and use our training facilities (which we think are some of the best in the country). In an effort to help the team out as much as possible we have decided to give free entry to Eden Rock members who are on the GB teams
