FESTIVE OPENING HOURS

Welcome to Eden Rock Edinburgh!

We are Scotland's biggest indoor bouldering wall, located just south of Edinburgh. We offer a huge range of climbing and training facilities for all ages and abilities. So whether you're 7 years old or 70, a total beginner or a seasoned pro, we have something for you!

We've got a dedicated Kids' Room, regular Kids' Clubs, courses for beginners, and coaching classes available for climbers of all abilities. We also run a specialist climbing shop and an eco-friendly café to sit back, relax and enjoy a treat (or two!). Click below for answers to our most common questions!

Your First Visit

Novice Adult Climbers

If you've never climbed before, you'll need to be supervised in the centre on your first visit. This is to make sure you and other users of the wall are kept safe. You can either be supervised by a competent climber who can sign you in as a guest, or more commonly by one of our instructors on an Induction Course. After completing the short induction course or visiting a few times as a guest, you'll have all the knowledge you need to become a member so that you can use the centre unsupervised. Hooray!

Children

We run kids classes for children aged 5 and up with classes running 7 days a week at a range of times. Check out our Kids Classes page for details on what we offer. Please note that advance booking is usually required so get in touch for more info and to book onto a class.

Children can also climb when supervised by an adult member (max. 2 kids/member). If you're a beginner and want to supervise children, please be sure to book and attend an Induction Course first.

Experienced Adult Climbers

If you've bouldered lots before you can either register online, or at reception on your first visit. Once you've registered, the staff will ask you a few questions so that we are happy that you have enough experience to use the centre safely. After a quick tour you'll be free to explore and get to grips with the boulders!

SAFETY

Bouldering walls can be a fun, safe way to enjoy the sport, with large mats covering all climbing areas. But like all things they can be dangerous if not used correctly. Please read and follow the conditions of use of the wall to keep yourself and others safe.

PARKING

There's customer parking outside the front entrance of the wall, plus plenty of on-street parking along the street. We've also got a bicycle rack for cycling enthusiasts.
